W13 Reflection: Ranking, Link Building, & Google Analytics

I can't believe this is the last week of the semester. It has definitely been a ride with it's ups and downs. While I feel that this class could be better in so many ways, I appreciate the efforts put in by our instructor, yes, that's you Brother Poole. You have tried your best to teach us in your way, thank you. 

Let's talk about the subject for this post, which is about ranking, link building, and Google Analytics. The biggest takeaway I had this week was with link building and Google Analytics. Being able to link your website to others is a great way to get more traffic to your site. This is helpful whne you can have an authority site link your site, as they have a higher rating with the algorithm. Being in this business requires time and effort, just like every other business, and you may not see the results you want right away. Have patience. Google Analytics is such a cool tool to use for analyzing data from your website, the traffic, monetization, retention and acquisition. I wish we would have done this exercise earlier on in the course, it would have given me a better idea of what the metrics were and how they are measured on your own site.
