W09 Reflection: Relevance & Quality Score

We are in week 9. This week we learned about the Quality Score and relevance of keywords for Google Ads. We learned what we could do with our own keywords to make them better and get more hits on our site. We can start by making our ads more relevant to the keywords we choose. This can happen by matching the language of your ad text closer to the search items. You can also try to improve the CTR (click through rate) by choosing content that is more in line with what your target audience is looking for. You can also add calls to action with words like Find, Buy, Try, Sell, Order, etc. What makes up a quality score? Making sure you understand how these are made up by the metrics used can help raise your quality score. Finding out what you are doing well and not doing well can you make changes to get more out of your ad dollars. The example we wrote about was a real estate ad, sending us to a website that wasn't what we expected. Being able to make a few suggestions on how they could adjust their ad to match their landing page was one of the suggestions. After all, consumers only have a limited amount of time and patience, and want to be served up the things they are looking for quickly.
