W04 Site Builder and Hosting

Another week closer to building our own websites. This week we discussed different site builders and hosting services. It was very informative, as I have not created a website before, chosen a hosting service or domain name. I didn't even know what that lingo meant until this week. 

For site building, I chose Weebly. Weebly was the best priced, and looks like it will be the easiest to use for beginners. They even have a free option. I have seen ads for SquareSpace before, and it looks really upscale, but the price was higher. 

As far as hosting companies, I went with Bluehost. They seemed to have the best reviews, a competitive price, quick and easy sign-up, quick turnaround time for customer service and support, as well as their reputation in the business for over 20 years. They even build and house their own servers in a massive warehouse in Salt Lake City, of all places. 

All in all, a great week.
